“Pretty village with lovely walks as well as shops”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

The village itself is picturesque, lovely walks around the lakes and woodlands. The workshops and galleries are well worth a visit.

“Really disappointed!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Was expecting a beautiful country park and picturesque scenery as described. But we were really disappointed. It's ok if you just want a grass area to walk around. Half the 'shops' were closed, the open ones were very over priced. The 'park' was a disgrace, unkept and unsafe - I wouldn't let my daughter's on anything there! Decoy or Stover much better! Will not be visiting again :(

“Beautiful, tranquil location and fab chocolate shop”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We visit every year and always have a great time. From the tasty food served at the cafe (cream tea highly recommended); horse and carriage rides, lovely craft shops and excellent playground. There is plenty of parking either in the village or if you need easier access park in the craft centre car park. The glass blowing centre is worth a visit and usually you get to see the glass blowers in action (free!) and the rocking horse shop is lovely. We love the chocolate shop and the hazelnut praline creams are out of this world, according to my 15 year old son! The shop owners are friendly and don't mind you browsing. Lovely grounds too.

I have visited Cockington Country Park on several occasions and each time have been very impressed. I walked from Cockington Lane in Torquay following the stream this time and can't wait to do it again. There are numerous trails you can take and all are very scenic and most not arduous at all. There are several park benches to stop and have a rest and enjoy the scenery if needed. The Drum Inn is very nice and the meals not too expensive. There are also several places where you can enjoy a cream tea. A beautiful part of Torquay and I can highly recommend it!
