Owner description: Cockington Country Park surrounds the picture postcard Cockington Village which lies just off the seafront near Torquay. The Country Park is free to walk around and features beautiful formal gardens, lakes and woodlands which can be enjoyed via a network of paths. Cockington Court and Cafe are nearby, along with a collection of craft studios where you can browse the creations of local artists and crafts people. The Cockington Country Park is cared for by local charity the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, who's volunteers operate a Visitor Centre in the village. Car parking is chargeable, although Trust members can park for free in the Trust's car park. Visit our website for more details.

We liked Cockington Gardens and Art and Craft centre very much but as a disabled person found the disabled facilities and parking were not signposted at all. As it is such a large site it is surely essential to indicate were the disabled facilities are and where the disable parking is available.

Lovely gardens, too bad the spring was late this year and there weren't that many flowers there. Good place to relax though.

This village takes you back in time , with the stables being occupied by different craftsmen and women . You are able to buy what they are making . there is a café in the big house with wonderful cakes for sale . The norman church is one not to miss if it is open , it is small but still used for worship .

Quaint craft shops and lovely grounds. Loved the cafe and the village is amazing with lots of thatched cottages. Car parking dear though
