We visited this restaurant one evening only three days after it opened. It was fully booked and it is fair to say that the kitchen was still finding its feet so - even allowing for the fact that the food was all cooked fresh to order - the service was a little on the slow side. I am sure that this will soon sort itself out and you should not be put off by this comment as when it arrived the meal was sensational and we were treated to tasty little treats to keep us happy whilst waiting.
We had difficulty in choosing what to order because there are so many deliciously tempting dishes on the menu. Fortunately the staff are all very helpful and willing to explain exactly what is in each dish.
I had dosai to start which is spiced potato wrapped in a savoury pancake - not too large or too spicy - and my husband had local scallops. We both had fish for a main course - my husband had the fish feast which is a generous serving of a variety of different fish beautifully seasoned without overpowering the natural taste of the fish and I had monk fish baked in a clay oven which was superb.
We tried and enjoyed a bottle of Indian white wine reasonably priced at £18.00 and we both came away replete and happy for a shade under £60 which we thought excellent value for money.
This is Indian food unlike any I have tried before - utterly fabulous. Can't wait to return.
