This is a nice and comfortable place to stay with friendly hosts ,
Free-Wi-Fi free parking which you don't get in most hotels these days!
I asked my fried egg yolk to be runny and in most places it isn't however Debbie made sure mine was and breakfast was superb! Will be coming back shortly!

We have just recently stayed at Brandon hall hotel and I can say that this bed and breakfast was the most warming up to date place we have ever stayed in. Debbie and Wayne are such pleasant people made us feel very welcome. After a lovely greeting we was shown to our room and we were amazed at how modern our room was and so clean also the selection on refreshments in the room. Our breakfast was super delicious and the decor throughout the place is absolutely lovely. I can highly recommended the Brandon hall hotel to anyone. Will be staying again :-)

We had seen this hotel on Four in a bed, and we decided to book for one night whilst on business in Torquay.
This was the wrong decision to make on arrival the hotel is in need of major works, the appearance is poor in need of painting and general clean up.
We were greeted by Debbie who was very welcoming, she took us to our room which was on the top floor. The room was small the bathroom even smaller in need of a complete revamp, the French doors leading to the balcony did not close properly or lock! The balcony was dire with no appeal or purpose.
Everywhere needed decorating and freshening up.
We had paid upfront, but despite this we could not stay, we found another hotel for our stay. We would not recommend the Haddon Hall.

We are naturally very disappointed to get a review like this and particularly because the guests left within ten minutes of checking in without saying a word to us or giving us the opportunity to offer them an alternative room.

We have a number of rooms available and the guest was clear that they wanted a standard double room. I chose the second floor room because it has a nice view and is lovely and quiet. It is true the balcony doors don’t lock but they are period features and locks were not fitted at the time the building was built. The balconies on our building are largely decorative and were not really designed in the way that modern balconies might be.

Our building is old and requires constant maintenance . Its quirks and imperfections are in many ways its very charm and a lot of guests do appreciate this.

We maintain the building and recently have completely re-plastered and re-decorated three of our rooms, we have fully refurbished two ensuites and are currently fully refurbishing one of our superior rooms as well as now creating a new suite.

It is unfair to critise the cleanliness of the hotel as this is something that we are consistently marked high for on Trip Advisor and other review sites.

We will continue to invest in our business to improve our guests’ experiences but we should emphasise that our rates are modest and we do not pretend to be a luxury hotel.

My partner and I have stayed here twice over the past couple of years. It is a little pricey for us but would certainly stay again. If you can request the largest room, I would recommend doing so as the second time we stayed, we were slightly disappointed with getting a smaller room. There is plenty of space in the rooms, the beds are a decent size (two singles pushed together), lovely colour theme and nice clean bathrooms. The couple that run it are very nice, breakfast is great! The location is perfect as only a short walk to the main shops. The hotel drive is a bit difficult on your first attempts but the owners happily guide you in and out if required.

Thank you for a lovely review and so glad you enjoyed your stay and would return. I am so sorry to hear about your raw sausage, I can not understand why you would of had a raw sausage served as all the sausages are cooked in the oven and the reading on the probe is between 90-99 which is way above what they should be so I know they should be well cooked also 1 is always cut open to be checked.. I wish you had highlighted this at the time to Wayne as we would rather know straight away. I appreciate your feed back on this. We really look forward to return and hopefully we will fulfil everything for you.
