Stayed in the Lawrence Room for one night on a business trip this week. Room was located in the third floor at the front of the hotel with magnificent sea views !!

Good Points :

Room was clean and modern
Staff very attentive during stay
Evening meal of Steak was well presented, delicious and delivered quickly.
Price of room was good but was a corporate rate.

Bad Points :

Bathroom was very dated and didn't flow with remainder of room.
Every single floorboard creeked as you walked around, and floors were uneven.
Although restaurant menu has been relaxed since my last stay, the dining room and staff are far too formal, making it slightly awkward to enjoy.
Shower was awful, barely warm and trickled out.

All in all, hotel is probably perfect for the target market of the clientele in Torquay, but for the business community or younger people it's a bit too dated.

Stayed here for one night and couldnt fault it. The staff were extremely helpfull. We booked four rooms in this hotel as there was a party of eight of us. The breakfast was very good and excellent service, and nice and hot. We took a taxi to the town centre from here, which varied from £3-£5! If there is one slight improvement is the bar was slow at serving in the evening, otherwise all was great. Lovely view at the front of the hotel, rooms were spotlessly clean with all facilities, eg: iron and ironing board, good size wardrobe. All round would definately recommend it.

Room Tip: A room at the front would be good but all rooms of good quality.

We stayed in this hotel over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

We had not originally planned to stay here but due to booking a supposed 4 star hotel elsewhere in Torquay and being disgusted with the quality of the Hotel we managed to get a room at the Osborne Hotel at last minute.

Our room was a good size, well equipped and very quiet ensuring we had a great nights sleep.

The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us, the views are amazing and the quality of food is excellent. The outdoor pool is even heated to 30'C making it usable even on a gloomy day!

The on site restaurant is excellent offering a great menu and the hotel bistro is great for day time snacks and drinks.

I can't praise this hotel enough and would gladly stay here again.

Stayed here for a three nights in off season but weather was great so views from room super. Over looks the sea and great sunsets. Meals and drinks a bit expensive but normal for this class of hotel. Situated outside of main town, get a taxi as its up a pretty steep hill on return, walk down in about 15 minutes.

Room Tip: Go for room at front, you may pay a bit more but it adds to the experience. Any other room at back w...

After noon tea was also excellent in the brasserie.
The staff were very attentive and such nice people they made are stay with their service and attention to detail.

We found the Osbourne through the Michelin guide. The location, a ten minute walk from town, was fine and the setting directly on the water is stunning. It's in a beautiful Georgian crescent which is a club/apartment complex.
Our room was a generous size with a sitting area and large bathroom with separate shower stall. The decor was simple, modern and in good condition.
Breakfast was in their main dining room and very nice. Their health club/indoor pool area was very well equipped and, according to one of the locals, the best in Torquay.
