On a very wet day looking for something to pass an hour or two
we came across Bygones,I bless the day we did,it was 2 hours of pure nostalgia, from the Victorian street complete with the noise that goes with a busy street to the lttle shops with their old fashioned wares(not for sale I might add).
It was an old cinema built over 3 floors, there is no lift but the stairs are not too bad,I have osteo arthritis & I managed just fine.
On the top floor is a model railway layout which you can operate yourself with switches on the outside of the glass. Also on this floor is a lovely cafe,we had a bowl of warming fresh vegetable soup with a bread roll & butter, cost £395 a person, good value & excellent soup.Back on the ground floor is a souveneir shop selling memorabilia. There is so much more to see than I can describe on here, well worth a visit.
