We went to Torque in July 2014 and decided to visit Babacombe on the first day. We heard that it has nice scenic beauty and thus after seeing Kent Cavern, we took Bus 32 for going to Babacombe which was about 20 mins journey to Babacombe on a cliff.
The sea was at about 60ft below. After having some good Icecreme on the cliff top, we walked down by stairs and ramp. It was not easy and the slope was stiff and had to go with care in some places due to slippery path.. It took 20 mins to get down slowly and 30mins to go up.
We walked along the beach path and had a coffee at the beachside cafe.

Babbacombe is the best place for a relaxing holiday, the shops in St. Marychurch precinct are just like going back in time with friendly staff and you can get anything you need. The Downs in Babbacombe are lovely, you can just sit and watch the world go by with a delicious ice cream from the Cliff Railway cafe. We come here once a month, it was the best choice for us to have our holiday home here.

Take the railway to the bottom near Oddicombe - great views over the bay. Enjoyable walk along the beach to Babbacombe.
