“Shame about the trains”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

Arrived at this station from Newton Abbot a few days ago by a pretty awful and over crowded old DMU after a gap of over 50 years ! Last time was of course in the days of steam with its own special atmosphere. That said the station still retains its charm and style even with modern indicator boards and the like. Yes it is just a railway station but it is imposing retaining the old buildings rather than garish bus shelters so often found these days. Our return was by an equally crowded and hot 2 coach DMU. Given the lines status as the 'Riviera Line' it should have nicer and longer trains to afford its customers more comfort.

“Like a normal train station but old”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Just a normal train station but an old one, no reason why not to go there because its a train station, it's built well so you can get to platforms easily so I really like it compared to other train stations to be honest. VIRGIN TRAINS FTW, don't like first

“What's to say”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

OK it's an old west country railway station which has seen better days. Pity really because with a bit of TLC it could be an attraction in itself.
