“Very interesting museum”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

The museum is in a lovely building. The staff is very friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. Especially went to see the Agatha Christie exhibitions and was not disappointed. Would have love to stay longer, but seeing that it was a beautiful day the kids wanted to go to the beach. I think on a rainy day one can spend a couple of hours here.

Good place to spend a few hours in bad weather. Hands on exhibitions suitable for children. Agatha Christie exhibition was very interesting though I would have liked to see and learn more about her.

“A great day out!”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

Upon reading a previous review I felt compelled to right a travesty of justice, not only is Torquay museum fun and incredible value for money, entertaining myself my son aged 4 and my two friends for a whole day, but also has some of the finest information available about local heroes and explores, the staff are incredibly helpful and take the time to bring what should be a fun hour into a fantastic day, packed full of information about people and places that define all the great aspects of our incredible past.

The reviewer before should have perhaps had the foresight to walk into the building before reviewing it poorly, older should be wiser as he states but wisdom does not come if you just look at the front door of a museum, perhaps it's found in learning from whats inside and as a father looking to entertain my son it was second to none.
