If you love a roast and ice cream, you can't do better. We had a standard and a large carvery, unlimited ice cream plus drinks for £20 (a small carvery is also available). On the two occasions we visited there, we were looked after by a very pleasant lady based at a till remote from the bar, which apparently is the normal place to order. The chefs were very pleasant and helpful and the restaurant itself is a nice place with a good atmosphere. There was ample car parking. It all helps to make the experience. If I had to make a negative comment, I would say that the gammon was not as good as the roast pork (which was excellent) and the turkey. We have been to a number of carveries and, for us, this wins hands down. If you don't want a carvery, fish and chips and other selections are also available. Well worth a visit but could get packed in the summer.
