This is an ideal hotel for couples or groups of friends, the rooms in the hotel are spacious, clean and ours had a nice sea view.
Breakast is a full english and very tasty.
The harbour is a 10 minute walk, where you will find pubs, clubs and restaraunts
The bar is lively with big screens and a DJ with a large area outside, where we spent most of our time, with a large selection of food, again very tasty.
Great time had by our group and would recomend this hotel.

We have seen the Heritage "up the hill" for many years but never stayed before, thought it was a bit old fashioned. Actually the rooms are really nice and modern(ish) and the bathroom was superb! We had the turret room with the fancy ceiling which was fun. Downstairs it was more "Yoof Central" especially on England goes out of the World Cup night! But we did have a meal there which was good and the breakfasts were excellent. They were very solicitous of us "old guys" when it was going to be very busy so we were fine.

Room Tip: Ask nicely!

We stayed here on a 2 day June Deal and were not disappointed. Nice friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious and had a view of the sea. There were toiletries and decent towels in the bathroom.
Breakfast was ample with plenty of choice served by efficient staff. An Appleby's bar/restaurant is part of the hotel serving cheap meals. It was very popular with non residents as well.
Great location. Within easy walking distance to the beach, town centre and harbour.
We managed to get a parking space and left the car there throughout our stay but could see other people having difficulty finding spots. We noticed that people working on the new hotel over the road were using it as a free car park. Not very fair on the hotel residents and could do with being sorted out.
Our only gripe is that we couldn't get the TV to work. We did ask for it to be sorted out but no-one came. Not really a problem apart from hubby trying to get the football results.
Free WIFI is an added bonus.
We had a very pleasant stay and we would return.

Room Tip: Get your parking spot and leave the car there.

Rooms very clean but could do with updating, really nice shower room though. Stayed on a Saturday and it was a bit noisy with late night returning guests. Easy access to theatre, town centre and beach.

Room Tip: Most have sea view but ask to make sure

I have stayed here twice now. One as a couple and once as part of a 25 group hen party. Both times we were treated just as well. The staff couldn't do enough for us and even took us out to show us around the town! Friendly staff, clean rooms and a great restaurant! We will defiantly be back again!

I won't lie, this isn't the Ritz, but neither is the price. The beds are of a good quality as is the linen, and the shower and bathroom adequate. Breakfast in the morning is more than ample and great value. 10/10 for value. Within easy walking distance of the sea and generally with sea views and parking.
