I've just finished my third stay at Beverly Lodge - each has been wonderful. Keith and Rosaleen are very friendly and welcoming and are really helpful with their knowledge of the local area. The rooms are big, bright, clean and comfortable and Keith cooks a fantastic breakfast. The location is perfect - just minutes walk to the main town and sea front area, but in a nice quiet area for a good night's sleep. Beverly Lodge is fantastic value for money - I look forward to returning soon - thankyou Keith and Rosaleen.

I was staying at Beverly Lodge for a long weekend. I just wanted a base, really, so I could do some walking around the surrounding coast and countryside. I normally find a campsite but thought this time I would treat myself to four walls and a bed. Good decision! The Beverly Lodge was great value; in fact it probably turned out cheaper than camping when you consider what an equivalent breakfast would cost in a caff! Sure, the room was very plain and some of the fittings a bit 'tired' but it was clean and functional with a big comfy bed (big for one anyway!) and even, amazingly for the price, an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower (but not allowed to use the bath).
What really lifts this place above the average, however, is the wonderful friendliness of Keith and his partner Rosalyn. Although obviously busy with a full hotel they never seemed rushed and were always happy to help with directions, ideas for places to visit, or to just chat. I was a bit worried at one point because my car had dripped oil onto his nice clean parking area but Keith couldn't have been more understanding, explaining that it was probably due to the slope rather than to my ancient vehicle!
The breakfast, as so many others have mentioned, was magnificent. No menu choice offered but anyone who couldn't do justice to this Full English didn't deserve a breakfast! In any case I'm sure that Keith would manage to accommodate any dietary requirement if given advance notice.
Some people might find the plethora of "Do" and "Don't" signs in the room a slight jarring feature but on reflection I'm fully with Keith on this if it can help him keep his prices down (by not wasting water or power) and provide his guests with a safe, undisturbed night's sleep.
In short then, don't come here if you're looking for chocolates on the pillow or scented loo-rolls but DO come if you want to experience an amazing value hotel and a demonstration of what hospitality is all about.
[By the way, Keith, 'Compass Club' was at 13 Torwood Street, the (very grand) building is still there.]

Me and a couple of girls recently stayed at Beverly lodge for a relaxing weekend, and to enjoy a stroll around Torquay. We had an amazing weekend and a big part of that was due to Kieth and Rosalina making us feel so welcome and so friendly to us. It was a pleasure to stay and will definitely be returning again as soon as we can. Thank you guys. Nicola and the Bristol Girls xxx

I stayed at the Beverly lodge B&B at the being of June for two week . this has got to be the best B&B in Torquay . Keith just goes the extra mile to help you out . It is 5 minutes walk from the town centre pubs and clubs and 5 minutes walk from the beach . You get a great breakfast and it is spotless . I will deffinetly be staying here again . Room Tip: All rooms are excellent
