Scallops good to very good, lemon sole was fab and my partner had chicken (she's not a fish eater) and despite it being a fish restaurant the chicken stuffed was lovely, great almost iconic homemade bread given at the outset and unrushed but attentive caring service ( oh and have a port after dinner, it's a cracking port! ) seriously, put it in your list, it's a winner and if you love your fish, just go there!

Man Friday's has a lovely cosy atmosphere, overlooking the harbour. The lobster thermidor is THE best I've ever had. The fisherman's platter (for one) had enough for 2 people. Somewhere you just want the whole menu. Even for non-fishy people, the steaks are a taste sensation with quirky sauces - malibu chicken for example! Very friendly staff and owner. Extremely impressed. They really look after you. We will definitely be returning soon.

We always visit this restaurant when visiting Torquay and it never fails to deliver! Great food and good service! We booked a table for a Saturday night and it was lucky we did as it was very busy. Good atmosphere and fab views of the harbour (even if you are not in a window seat). They brought out warm bread and butter with olives, but we didn’t get a chance to enjoy this as they brought out our starters almost straight away afterwards. It would have been nice to have a gap between the bread and the starter. I had lobster tart, which was nice and my husband had seafood scallop, which looked delicious and apparently was! I had monkfish tail wrapped in parma ham for main and my husband had seafood pancake – both were very nice, but I would definitely have the seafood pancake next time! It was absolutely packed full of different varieties of fish. The mains are served with three types of potato (stuffed new, hasselback and dauphinious) and veg. They had run out of a few options from the menu, but luckily nothing we wanted. No room for a pudding, but they sounded delicious. I would consider skipping a starter and having a pudding instead next time. Would definitely recommend.

Great seafood place tucked down a lane near torquay seaside. Great good and great service. Make sure you make a booking as restaurant isn't very big and very popular. Food expensive for torquay but worth it.

What an amazing restaurant with amazing quality of fish dishes. Definitely would return here. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was excellent. Portion sizes were excellent with a good selection of potatoes and vegetables. The fish was cooked to perfection, would definitely return.
