We enjoyed our stay very much! Nothing was too much trouble (even plasters, helping to find a charger cable etc.) Early breakfast is wonderful. And again: all our wishes were granted. Although it was certainly not our goal to try this out, but circumstances were special in our case. Kevin and Dawn were very helpful, friendly and cooperative and a real support in all this!
When we asked for a change in rooms, it was organized the same day. The rooms were nice and very clean. Kevin and Dawn were always there for a friendly talk, a daytrip tip and they were always smiling! I really think this is a home away from home! Thanks for a lovely 12 day stay at your hotel!

Thank you for your lovely review.

Well what can I say, it was an absolute pleasure to have you and your lovely family to stay with us and I must admit I do rather miss our daily chats and laughs Changing your room to a lower floor was no problem at all, I just wish we had known about your poor husbands disability sooner, to save poor Jose's legs ! I look forward to meeting you again and who knows you may even make the Agatha Christie festival next time

After a long drive from London we arrived at the Chesterfield for a 4 night stay. We were greeted by Kevin on ringing the door bell with a smile and a friendly welcome. Check-in was swift and precise and all necessary paperwork completed in a timely manner. Kevin explained everything to us, and the handed over the keys to our room. We climbed the stairs and opened the door to a brightly lite well maintained modern furnished room with its own on-suite, everything was nice as expect, and laid out without clutter or fuss. On going down stars to go out and explore Kevin gave a friendly guided tour of the things we could do on our stay to get the most out of the area and the places to see and eat. We then met Dawn, Kevin's wife who was also a very nice person with a welcoming disposition. After a peaceful and restful night we went down to very hearty breakfast with the hospitality you would expect from a great B&B. More help was on hand if required by Kevin as he served breakfast which was cooked and served very well by Dawn. This service continued for the 4 nights and we enjoyed it immensely. The whole trip to the Chesterfield was a major success Thanks Kevin and Dawn Great 4 nights and thanks Torquay for the sun...

I only stayed for one night this weekend whilst in Torquay.
Kevin was more than helpful and very informative of the local area .
The room was very spacious , very clean and not one fault at all , I had various camera chargers , laptops , phone charges and found there were plenty of plug sockets available.
There was plenty to choose from at breakfast with a great fried breakfast to set me up for my day ahead.

Will defiantly stop here again if I return back to Torquay :)

Room Tip: I stopped in room 5 ..plently of Space for 2 let alone just me ! :)

We stayed in the Chesterfield for 2 nights over the Easter weekend. Was a nice place to stay but couldnt of stayed any longer than the two nights.

Although it was situated perfectly near the harbour, the facilities could of been better, i'm unsure if it was just our room or everybodies but the shower never got 'hot'. The water was just about warm and the room itself didnt feel warm?

Although breakfast is included, you have to eat between 8.30 and 9.00 otherwise you miss it, ive not stayed in accomodation before where breakfast is only served for half an hour, it would of suited us alot better if it would of been a couple of hours or so so we could of had more time to get ready in the morning before going downstairs without getting up too early.

Aside from this, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Worth the money but wouldn't choose to stay again.
