We stayed here for one night as we had a wedding reception to attend nearby.
Firstly, it was good to be able to stay just one night, so many places have a minimum 2 night stay.
We were early, but we were warmly welcomed by Warren, who showed us to our room, and introduced us to Jill. The whole place was spotless; beautiful room, with excellent facilities -a box full of tea &coffee, hot chocolate sachets, biscuits and yummy local made chocolates, and even fresh milk in the fridge, not silly little pots!
Kingston House is decorated to perfection, no frilly nick nacks, but quality pieces here and there.
Breakfast was scrumptious! Good selection, and a wonderful yoghurt and muesli sundae - a MUST have!

Room Tip: Room 5 - classically elegant!

Just had 2 nights with my wife for my 50th, accomodation superb, food excellent, owners really friendly and helpfull, could not fault it at all. Would recomend a visit, everything you need, cup of tea and cake on arrival, a Twinings box full of teas coffes, a fridge with fresh milk each day, flat screen tv, double shower cubicle with shower power. Breakfast, good choice, I had the fruit Sundae 2 days, then poached egg one morning and eggs benedict with ham the second, a real treat.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 4

Our first time in Torquay and Kingston House was the perfect choice. Absolutely spotless, lovely room with everything you could possibly need. Jill and Warren were lovely and took the time to give us some ideas of where the best places were to go, even booking us into restaurants to ensure we could get a reservation at short notice. Breakfast was brilliant with good variety and of a very high standard. Really loved Torquay and Kingston House made our stay even better. Will definately be coming again :) Thank you!!!

Room Tip: Seagulls can be a little noisey in the morning so if you want a lie in, close your windows!!

This was my second visit to Kingston House, the first being last year, not long after Jill and Warren had taken over The previous owners had let things slip and Jill and Warren were excited with what they had in mind to do.

Well let me say they have taken the b&b game to a whole new level and have still retained that homely feel. The décor is fantastic but not overstated, very tasteful and the attention to detail would leave many, so called hotels, standing.

The rooms are comfortable and relaxing with a hospitality tray to die for. Not here a few teabags and coffee sachets but a large box full of all sorts to please the most discerning taste plus a small fresh milk bottle in the fridge. For those with a sweet tooth a box of delicious chocolates made locally.

Breakfasts are a big part of choosing to stay at a b&b over a hotel and once again they have come up trumps. One of my pet hates is having to push and shove over the buffet breakfasts. Not here, Jill serves you from start to finish. Isn't that why we come away but to be spoilt. There is a lovely sittingroom to relax with a newspaper. How many b&b's offer that.

They really have taken this b&b to a new level which most of Torquay is going to find hard to get anywhere near. So thank you both for a lovely stay.

As everyone says in their reviews this is an immaculate B & B with everything you need. Jill and Warren made us very welcome and on arrival we had the lovely cake and clotted cream. All the choices for breakfast were excellent and the specials made it even better. The room was lovely with everything you could need. Jill & Warren gave us plenty of information on the surrounding area.

Having been to Torquay and stayed at Kingston house we must agree with the other people who have posted on the site
Jill and Warren run a first class guest house. Everything was spotless and of a very high standard, we are sure the hotel inspector would not find a single thing to complain about. They recommended a number of places to eat locally and we were not disappointed with any of their suggestions.
We would have no reservations in recommending Kingston House to any of our family and friends.

My wife and I researched guest houses in Torquay and the reviews of others who had stayed at Kingston House was a big factor in choosing it for our two night stay. We were not disappointed, on the contrary, Jill and Warren made us feel very welcome and were always there to assist. Jill phoned around recommended restaurants to secure us a booking. The room was spotless and the facilities excellent. Breakfast was good, with a well balanced choice available - all cooked well. Location was pretty good too - cost of taxi to city/harbour was £5 or a half hour stroll away. All in all, it is hard to fault Kingston House. We fully understand all the positive comments and why Jill and Warren have been awarded top ratings for Kingston House.
