good central location bedrooms in horrid location , couldn't have windows open due to noise from what i think was student accommodation next to hotel and also had to keep the curtains closed do to close proximity of the same student flats which on a three day stay in sweltering heat became very oppressive.

very closer to shops and Barbican which was good.

We didn't get a particularly friendly welcome which i think set the tone of our stay. I booked two superior rooms which i must say I amsurprised they were called "Superior" as they certainly didn't have anything to make them superior only the cost !!

I had a loverly time in Plymouth and would go back anytime - would have to carefully consider if i would stay at Jurys or go somewhere else.

Room Tip: ask not to be next to the noisy student accommodation on the left hand side of the hotel as you look...

Have stayed here several times over the last few years, and always been a pleasant experience. This hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of town easy to get to the Barbican, and the city centre. There are lots of places to eat nearby and plenty of bars, shops and places to visit. The choice of views is at the back of the hotel sea views (get as high a floor as you can) or to the front of the hotel the famous 'bombed out church'. Not the cheapest hotel in Plymouth, but very very good. The bar is great, staff are polite and helpful and overall highly recommended.

Modern, friendly hotel which stands in a perfect position, close to town and the Barbican.
Greeted with a friendly smile and given a room overlooking Plymouth Sound.
Clean, with everything you need, I had a quiet, cosy sleep.
Breakfast was superb, hot and cold food was appetising and the staff were attentive, informative and appeared genuinely pleased to see their guests.
The restaurant had a good, fresh feel about it.
Cannot recommend this hotel enough, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed on a Friday night. Once we had sorted out where to park (next door at the Bingo, btw)
the welcome was good and the room was very large with all you could need.
The hotel is 5 mins from The barbican and the city, so is in a great location.
The Breakfast was plentiful and not rushed with the hot food being hot, which is always good.
I would stay here again if i visit Plymouth.

We stayed on the 8th floor. The room had a small double bed, not over spacious room which tended to be quite warm at night. Air conditioning was working but tended to cut out. If we left the window open it was too noisy from traffic. Room was clean tho . Location was fab for visiting the barbican . Parking prices on top of the hotel didn't make it such an attractive deal as first thought. Staff were all very pleasant, always a bonus

Dear juliedavidson,

Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us. I appreciate your comments regarding the air conditioning which will be investigated by our maintenance team. Your kind words in relation to the team are also very much appreciated.

The rooms on the top floor are a little smaller than those on lower floors however I would be delighted to ensure you are allocated a large room on any future bookings you may have with us. If I can help with this or anything else, please let me know at Donal_Stafford@jurysinns.com

Kind Regards

Absolutely modern, immaculate bedrooms and not bad food but as you enter the foyer and approach the reception desk you are aware that the whole place lacks character. However in the prices the hotel charges you are getting excellent value for money. It is in the centre of the city and within walking distance of so much any visitor would want to see. The historical Barbican is just down the road, Plymouth Hoe is about a fifteen minute walk and the Theatre Royal is about five minutes away. Be warned parking is not easy. Nonetheless Jurys is value for money.

excellent friendly staff, good bedroom - nice and clean, parking is terrible with not being able to unload before moving to parking area which was expensive. Bar was often not attended and the drinks were dear. It is very close to the shopping and the barbican .

Room Tip: bed is only a small double though we were told at reception that all rooms we had booked would have...

Dear glynceri,

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review and for your very positive comments about the team here, it's very much appreciated.

I appreciate your comments on the car park, being a city centre hotel we don't have our own dedicated car park and work with a parking provider adjacent to the hotel. Should you choose to stay with us in the future; there is a drop off area at the rear of the hotel on Bilbury St. which can make things more manageable in terms of loading and unloading.

If I can assist with future bookings or anything else, I would be only too happy to hear from you at Donal_Stafford@jurysinns.com.

Kind Regards

Donal
