Just the most wonderful varied views, beautiful beaches, fascinating small fishing villages. Some easy paths and some more difficult, get the info from the South West Coast Path advisors.

If its scenery your after, then the pathways here right up your street. There are walks for the not so fit, the fit and the really fit, with views to die for.

As it covers more than 600 miles it is difficult to tick the boxes below. We have been walking it for over 30 years and have about 100 miles left to do. It can be attempted in one long go, or bit by bit, which is what we have done. By judicious use of local bus services it is possible to park and then ride to complete a section. Or you can B&B and back pack, or get onward transportation of baggage, or camp and back pack. There are lots of campsites, and lots of B&Bs, or even hotels for those who want more luxurious facilities (or a good bath). Quite a few areas suffer landslips, particular the Jurassic Coast part, which is slowly disappearing, so be prepared for diversions. Stretches vary from very challenging to very easy; when planning your day allow for this. Remember that the prevailing wind is from the south-west, and being mostly Devon and Cornwall, it is usually warm, but often wet.

The path is a fantastic asset that appears to have had little or no maintenance recently, met lots of people who were unhappy with the state of it in places.
