“Plymouth Sound”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

Good views, not so many big boats nowadays but did watch the France ferry and a huge tanker. Shame the submarines have gone, very quiet boat wise. Seemed to be mainly pleasure craft yachts etc.

“A walk to remember.”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

To walk arround Plymouth Sound is an experience never to be forgotten but often to be repeated. This is one of my favourite walks...for a breath of fresh sea air, do it as often as possible:)

“the best view in the world”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

Ok so there isn't Sydney harbour bridge or the Serangetti plains but.... there is never the same view two days running, you might see the ferry come in, yaughts racing (even the Americas cup last year!) naval vessels arriving home, submarines, canoes, seals - its amazing!

“Nice jaunt while staying”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

I used the sound as a very good place to do my early morning walk before breakfast at the hotel, as I wanted somewhere that was steep it served its purpose ideally. Did not get to go in the lighthouse, but would certainly like to do so on another visit, it is from the sound where a old fashioned bus starts to do a tour of the town giving a look back on the history around the town.
