I live near Plym Bridge Woods, basically, its a lovely wooded area and obviously a river and old bridge which has now been closed to traffic, very narrow but I did use to drive over it many years ago,it is very pretty down there to take a picnic or just a pretty walk or dip your feet, there are 2 ways to get there obviously as the bridge isn't open for cars but you can walk over it ,one side is accessible from Plympton and the other way from a place called Estover easily found on a map, there is parking there for quite a few cars and its free, well worth a look if your are wanting a lovely tranquil day/evening walk,no seats there so take a chair or blanket if you think you will want to sit, there are rocks to sit on of course, very pretty. no toilet, but use your imagination there.lol.

Plym Bridge in literally on my doorstep so do spend a lot of time walking and cycling through these beautiful woods. A good pair of walking shoes is recommended if you want to walk the riverside route but is well worth it for the tranquil scenery. The area is great for all types including dog walkers, families and kids. There are a few area's which you can swim in the summer months such as green pool. The wier is a beautiful site and very popular with photographers, there is also an area with a few bird feeders setup close to the wier so, you can see some great species at all times of the year. During the summer months there is also a peregrine falcon viewing platform setup on the viaduct with telescopes to view the nests up on the cliffs. Recommended to anyone.

I have lived near Plymbridge Woods all of my life and have visited from a chid up to an adult. I often walk my dog here, meet friends with their children for a walks, its such a nice setting, with many trails to follow including a 12 mile treck (there and back) to the Skylark Pub. Plymbridge will always get a thumbs up from me!!
