Premier Inn Plymouth City Centre (Sutton Harbour) Hotel
Ranked #6 of 21 Hotels in Plymouth

While this hotel has what I expect from a Premier Inn,clean and comfortable at a decent price, the location next to the National Marine Aquarium and a few minutes gentle stroll into the Barbican makes it ideal for that side of Plymouth.A 15-20 minute walk will get you to either Plymouth Hoe or theindoor shopping centre,Drakes Circus.
There is a restaurant on site, where breakfast is also served, good and plentiful. plus a Table Table restaurant next door at it's sister Premier Inn,Lockyer's Quay.
The staff were all excellent and very helpful.
There is quite a busy road on one side of the hotel, ask for a room facing the harbour, though I wouldn't say it was noisey.

Stayed 4 nights with friends on a fishing trip, very nice place with clean rooms and very
friendly and helpful staff. Within easy walking distance of the Barbican and the city centre
shops.
The upper floors were a bit stuffy and warm but we are planning to return next year.

This hotel is in an ideal location in Plymouth for the university, shops and waterfront. On arrival I asked if we could have a room with a harbour view as we had not been able to request it. They gladly obliged. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bed was huge (two large singles made up together). Great bedding and bathroom. This location is walking distance to the main shops and many restaurants. So for a cheap break (if you can book far enough in advance to get the £29 offer) I thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour facing, top floor room.

Everything the adverts promise and more - outstanding staff, room etc. My only complaint is that it spoiled us for the next place (not a Premier Inn) that we stayed in

We stayed here over the Royal Wedding weekend and got a great deal! It's in a cracking location, 2 minutes walk from Barbican Leisure Park (where there's a Cinema, Frankie & Benny's, Nando's and Pizza Hut amongst other things), opposite the Aquarium and 5 minutes walk from the Barbican area itself. That said, you need to use the footbridge to cross the harbour (open between 4.30am and 9.30pm) otherwise it's a 15-20 minute walk the other way. The city centre is a similar walking time whichever way you go.

We were on the 2nd floor looking towards the harbour. Rooms were of a good size, usual large comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. There was a small flatscreen TV also. Staff were great - very friendly! My only gripe was the temperature of the room. It was baking hot inside and despite using the desk fan provided we didn't have a decent sleep on any of the 4 nights that we stayed. Don't let that put you off though - next time we are in Plymouth, this hotel will be top of the list for accommodation.

We are on our second night of a 4 night stay, I am very impressed at how clean and tidy the rooms are, nothing is to much trouble for the staff and they always say "hi" and SMILE!
Comfy beds, crisp sheets, fresh towels all for £29 per night, better than some 4* hotels I've stayed which were 8 times the price.
