13 of us came here to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. As requested we had all pre-ordered our starters and mains. All were correct and where applicable, piping hot. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Portion wise, I defy anyone to leave the restaurant still hungry - don't eat before going!
Will definitely return and also recommend.
Only one criticism, upon asking if we could bring our own birthday cake, told we could but a charge of £1 per head would be charged. Much more than the cake would cost!

I came soon after it opened and it was dull empty and soulless. Over the years they have cottoned on to the need for an American style diner/grill to have some North American flavour. But it has come slowly and tortuously. A few more pictures. Slightly more appropriate music and a flicker of response from the staff that the customer is king and that it's all about speed taste and wow flavours. Regrettably I still feel that they are barely half way there. It is still hardly American. This difficult open upstairs space is a problem but surely something can be done to enliven it. Maybe times are hard and the staff levels are pared right back but you would expect someone to be at your shoulder quickly when you want more drink or something extra of anything. Yes there are a lot of different burgers, and yes they got a local press puff by cooking up an unusually large version, but they sell themselves on the American concept and still haven't got it right. We have nowhere like that in Plymouth, let's hope it eventually gels. Perhaps they are too busy to take a long weekend in the States and go see some examples of the real thing?
