“The only place in Plymouth for a Kebab”
Reviewed May 1, 2012

I lived in Plymouth many years ago ( and we loved City Grill ) and how fantastic to have a home delivery when we visited this month. Fantastic mixed Shish ( beautiful top quality lamb ) and doner and fast delivery. Top quality and lovely staff. Please go there for " The best Kebab " in Plymouth. They do have a couple of tables to eat in, but we enjoyed ours at a friends home. I must also say the Cacik is fantastic and enough for 4 people.. What more can I say !!!

“Decent kebab”
Reviewed December 3, 2011

Had a kebab here one evening and found it to be a decent eat. The meat was hot and not at all oily and the salad was fresh. The pitta bread was lightly toasted and the chilli sauce wasn't too hot. The service was friendly too. The place does a good trade so you know the food will be fresh too which is a bonus. Would happily return again. A small donner kebab was £3.80 but it was an ample size.

“Good pit stop on the long trek home from town.”
Reviewed December 3, 2011

On the left near the laundrette just as you walk down on to Mutley Plain from town. A better than average burger and kebab place. Mostly student takeaway but also some eat in trade. Not as much choice on this busy street as you would expect late at night. Chicken and pizza places further up on the right and of course all night Goodbodys half way up but you may not want the full on heavy decor and wait there. The popular Caspian kebab closed many months ago and remains empty. I like the City Charcoal Grill because it is a grill with burgers that taste better for it. Friendly brisk service and they deal deftly with the occasional over-zealous drunks.
