“No Chavs Here!”

Great idea. Simple, basic breakfast of home produced bread, jam & peanut butter etc. I had toast, butter and boiled eggs
with a mug of tea, gorgeous.
Lovely rustic setting and totally relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

“Breakfast with a difference”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Visited on a cold wet November morning. Struggled to find the bakery as it had moved and we ended up in river cottage by mistake. We had a disappointing breakfast in river cottage ( strange scrambled egg and tasteless dry bread). We therefore persisted and decided once we found the new bakery premises to have a second breakfast as our teenagers were still hungry. Pain au chocolat light and delicious, bread was as good as you get,jam was delicious and my teenage son loved the homemade peanut butter and apple juice. This restaurant is a fab idea, unpretentious quality in a relaxed no nonsense environment. We thoroughly enjoyed it and so did everybody else if this morning was anything to go by. It was very busy with people taking seats as they were vacated. We will be back.

“Good but more toasters please!”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

We really enjoyed the concept. Nice coffee too and nice fresh bread. Bit of a wait for the toasters, but that could be easily fixed. (I know you read the reviews!)

“Nice idea”
Reviewed November 14, 2012 via mobile

Found this restaurant by accident, love the whole idea of one price mains, the honesty payment system, communal seating and ambiance. I had a goats cheese and potato slice, lovely flavour , huge portion only criticism was that it was still a little undercooked in the centre....however the outer piece was delicious. Would definitely go back and would like to try breakfast.

“Great ethos...definately be returning!!”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

What a great little place. We arrived on Sunday morning for a late breakfast, help yourself to as much toast as you want (£2.50 for adults, £1.50 for kids). The homemade bread is to die for...and I'd recommend the gorgeous homemade plum jam. There were boiled eggs, museli and beautiful pastries as well...

I love the ethos of this place...if you want coke, fizzy drinks or a fry up go elsewhere...they use local suppliers..our 8 year old loved the pressed apple juice.

This is something a little bit different, open up you mind and see what the owner is trying to achieve...we will definately be back!!!
