Had the taster menu, highlight of which was a plate containing half a quails egg wrapped in black pudding and fried, belly pork on a bed of Creamed cabbage with bacon, pork ribs and mashed sweet potato. Absolutely delicious. Good service and friendly staff

We ate here as a group of six using a groupon voucher. I had read the mixed reviews and thought I would give it a try as we had a good deal and nothing to loose!! It was lovely! We all had the taster menu and I can not eat fish and did not want rabbit and they were brilliant at changing these courses with prior notice! The service was exceptional and the food fantastic!!! Six very happy people who all are very critical about food and not afraid of complaining!!! For all the bad reviews about taster menus remember they are TASTERS!! Don't expect plates full!!! Will definitely return!!!

Made a return visit to the Brasserie and had another lovely meal. If you haven't tried a taster meal this is the place to go. Lovely presentations and tastes and flavours you probably haven't had before. I don't eat any fish or shellfish and the restaurant made alternatives for me. I have seen a couple of bad reviews and wonder if those people went the same place I did or if its sour grapes from another establishment. The pictures will show the 'Masterchef Professional' look of the food to taste it youv'e got to go yourself to try! Good service as well as good food.

It's such a shame that this restaurant is quite hidden away as it is an amazing place to eat. The food was cooked perfectly and the presentation was beautiful! Hats off to the chefs!
The waiting staff we lovely and friendly, the gentleman that served us was very polite and smart.
Me and my partner ate here a while ago, we both had steak, and both agreed it was probably the best steak we have had in Plymouth.
The only thing I didn't really like was the music playing in the restaurant, but then again you go to a restaurant for food not to listen to music!
You guys are doing a great job! We have recommended you to our family and friends and hope to see you again soon!

Over the Easter weekend we visited The Dolphin House for the 7 course tasting menu. We also had the special offer on drinks, this was £17.00 for wine, a different glass specially selected to compliment each food course. This we found to be excellent value and lovely wines which we definitely would not have chosen ourselves. Each course was exciting and explained in full by the waiter at the time of serving. We found there was a suitable 'rest' period between each course.
The restaurant has a relaxing feel about it, and is placed in a good position on The Barbican, therefore there is a lot of choice to either wander and explore or to listen to live music after your meal. All in all a very pleasant evening, will be returning.
