We had not visited this Pub for food for about 3 years but decided to give it a go. We heard that the new owners were doing some nice food. We were greeted nicely by a waitress and given a table, we had not booked beforehand, which was cosy and reasonably laid up. We were given a menu on which there were a limited number of options which is a good sign as the food is obviously cooked fresh or at least not frozen. After 10 minutes the waitress came for our order over which we had agonsied for that 10 minutes. We both chose for the main course different items. At that point we were told that neither item was now on the menu. We made a hurried new choice which was not really what we wanted. However what we did have was quite acceptable and came out hot and looking fresh. The wine was reasonably priced and the beer was OK though not the one I had asked for as it was off. (not bad but none left).
This was only pub food but the prices were a little high for what one was getting. During our 7 days in the area we opted not to return as there was no other dishes on the menu that appealed to us.
