The name of this Citadel Road pub changes frequently and it has just gone through another rebranding. It is a tourist pub serving mostly people using the dozens of nearby bed and breakfast hotels. The food is routine pub fare. The atmosphere is often bustling and can be noisy especially when they use the drop down TV screen for footy. There are half a dozen seats by the entrance steps outside. Food and drink prices much too expensive for us to use the place very often, especially when there are very many other pubs on the Barbican only a couple of hundred metres away.

We have eaten here a few times and had a sunday roast. The place has a nice atmosphere and the staff are always very friendly as well. There is always a relaxing and welcoming vibe to the place.

We walked from the station across the whole of Plymouth town centre to visit this pub - and it was well worth it. 4 adults, 1 toddler & 1 baby took over the downstairs eating area and had a fantastic meal. The seafood platter to share was absolutely fantastic, in fact all the food was superb and lots of it. Staff were very accommodating with toddlers sausage & mash dinner, good beer, pleasant surroundings & clean loos.

First impressions, you would think twice about eating here but how wrong you could be, the food was really nice and served quick, our vegitarian friend was not impressed not much choice and what he did have he said was bland, but I had thw ribs and they were really good, coupled with real ale and helpful bar people, it should be on your list to try, but when busy it's is a bit uncomfortable

Had a quick Sunday bite here, but ended having a bit more than that. Good selection of beer and huge portions of local foods make this a busy bar.
A Sunday roast platter for two was 12 quid, the portions were big, the service was excellent, and the place had a good vibe.
Would like to come here again!!
