Very good for a range of pub grub. Staff reasonably friendly and atmosphere relaxed. Nice pint, and good value.

Food lovely. Freshly cooked. Recommend A visit here. Quite tiny inside but a decent meal which isn't too badly priced

A visit to the Yard Arm was recommended by out hotel hosts. If you want good wholesome pub food then this is the place for you. If you like quantity then this is also the place to be. Large plates brimming full sometimes puts people with smaller appetites off but there is no doubt here you get both quantity and quality. The steak i oredered was done to perfection and with lots of extras on the plate too it was a meal to be adored for the big eater (me). Well worth a visit.

I shall visit again!
I recently stayed here for 2 nights over august for the Fireworks Championships, with my boyfriend, his parents and grandparent
Everything you expect from a british pub, great food great atmosphere, typical interior and the rooms were very basic but very comfortable. we stayed in room 9, which overlooked the Plymouth Eye. Although a little noisy at night because of the thriving pub beneath us however this doesnt bother me in the slightest and didn't effect our nights sleep, however i can understand that other guests who might have children or like the quietness, will not like this.

We all had a fantastic stay, breakfast was cooked fresh and great ingredients and im happy that breakfast is served until 11am, gives you a chance of a little lie in which most places dont offer.
Staff were wonderful and friendly and very helpful and cheerful!
Will recommend to others staying in Plymouth
Great location right on The Hoe, walking distance to the city centre for shopping
If i was a local i would come here for dinner and a pint lots!

Thank you :)

Small pub near the Hoe, just by the Holiday inn.
Really nice atmosphere. We had the Seafood platter to share. £12. Thought when it arrived they had given us the four person one, there was so much. The burgers are really good. Went back the next night such good food at reasonable prices.
