Visiting friends and family in Plymouth we went to the Royal William Yard for a walk and lunch.
A great sunny day with spectacular views across the Tamar River and out in to Plymouth Sound.
We stopped in to Prezzo for lunch. Very good and authentic Italian food. Good service, but did get a little slow as the restaurant started to fill up. The food was well presented and really tasty with lots of Italian herbs. I would have given this one more star, but the main was done a little too early, meaning the appetizer was rushed away and the main had sat for a couple of minutes before coming to the table.
Expect the bill to be on the high side if ordering starter, main and wine, but worth every penny.
I would love to go back in the summer and enjoy an authentic Italian meal in a fantastic setting, looking out over the river and yachts.

Having been to several eateries at the Royal William Yard and not overly impressed; we decided to give Prezzo a try. And what a pleasant surprise. On entrance, we were met by a very polite member of staff. The restaurant is quite large and well presented, and no loud music. The menu is varied and interesting. Although pizza is high on the menu, there are other dishes to sample. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and were looked after by not too overly attentive staff. For once I didn't begrudge the tip. Will visit again, and hopefully it wasn't a fluke.

Hello again
Husband and I managed a weekend down in Devon and pitched up here at Prezzo on a Saturday night with out Tesco vouchers ( husband loves a voucher, all that company petrol he buys)
So its a rainy night and we find the area by sat nav . Take a torch as well the area is so badly lit you really can't see a thing, enter the area to park, and pay on the way out at the machine, some secret camera captures your car reg. ! Spooky.
There are two main blocks of the old warehouses that are developed for restaurants, they sit in the middle looking at each other over the boat harbour. You have to walk really close up to find what you want as the signs are not clear. Anyway usual Prezzo establishment, interesting room but as usual So B.... Loud. No soft furnishings apart from the cushion you will sit on. Really ruins the night when you can't hear what your dear husband is saying but can quite easily hear all the conversation on the table next door due to the loud braying voices they have, specially developed for places such as this !
Service was slow, starter breaded Camembert was not even warm, mushrooms of some sort indifferent,. Main salmon salad was good in that it was a fair chunk of salmon, only let down by the tough little bits of flat bread on the side. Husbands king prawn pasta blew his head off for being so hot.
No I did not complain at the time about the cheese as we were off to see a film and had no time to wait.
Waiter was sweet but too busy and this was even with some tables empty. It's a very large room.
Having read the other reviews, I think this would be a good lunch spot for the views, its not first rate Italian, but edible non the less.
Read my Modbury review as well, I don't have much luck with menus.

Booked online and received both text and email confirmation
The service was very attentive and very quick considering how busy the place was
The food was really nice and well presented
We have been to prezzo,s many time in the past and have always found both service and food first class
Highly recommended, will always return
The restaurant is located in the royal William yard which was redeveloped from old naval stores to a very high standard

The staff where very attentive & cheerful throughout & the prices where very reasonable! Be warned when you order your food though!, as they are BIG portions! But they will box your remaining food for you to take away if you like. 10/10 for this restaurant!
