We had not heard of this NT property and it is pretty well hidden but well worth a trip. The guides made it very interesting. Beautiful gardens perfect for a picnic

Not over busy so perhaps not that well known - which made for a comfortable visit.
We had a guided tour of the garden buildings which was informative with a friendly guide.
Quite a lot of steps for the infirm but generally worth it. The house was interesting and well laid out and the guides helpful. The gardens were not as spectacular as some Nat Trust ones but reflected the style of the house. Food in the cafe was good.

After a poor visit to Killerton we had superb visit here. Lovely house, amazing gardens and interesting sights all over. We did the servants tour and it really brought this aspect alive with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Superb.

Just a pleasure to share time at this glorious setting and admire what this huge and grand house has to offer - Please do not rush this visit as special things can catch the eye of those looking hard enough in the right places. A privilege to have spent 3/4 hours at Saltram

We have been to the house several times but still enjoy it. Our daughter booked the Friday tour which is 'behind the scenes' which was excellent,
Each tour guide has a 'different version' of events.
