I love visiting this trail, on bike or on foot always lots to see and places to explore with young children. Fantastic place to go what ever the weather. Slight up hill from Coypool to yelverton so getting back is far easier and quicker which is good for children!!
Any ways a cracking place what ever the weather and if the Steam trains are running its a cracking day out.

Gorgeous area to go for a walk or bike ride all the way up to dartmoor if you wish. Really good even if you have a pram or smal children. Pretty sheltered by trees even in the rain, in the summer people swim in the river too.

nice run to the moors, but please be aware of walkers, prams, children and dogs. Give them the space they need. A lot of dog walkers park in Plymbridge Woods and walk their dogs along the path, so it can be a bit busy

Great bike ride up to Clearbrook for a well deserved pit stop for ale and food. Almost freewheel it back down passing by clearings and view points watch some birds of prey through heritage trust telescopes already set up. Imagine what it must have been like in by-gone ages when the working trains were running up and down with halts and bridges on route and a long tunnel so take some lights if you don't want to bump into anyone. There is a Park & Ride by Marsh Mills and The Riverside Touring Park is just a short distance from the trail. Very enjoyable and would return again.

A brilliant fun trail with insights to history scattered over the trail.
