“great breakfast”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We always go to this little cafe when we come off the ferry from France - typically docking at 7 or 8 am - a great way to welcome ourselves home!

Great cooked breakfast at very reasonable price - vegetarian option available too.

“Something like home.”
Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

Just like your mum cooks... i think that's what they were aiming at. Reminds me a bit like a Morrison's breakfast big and basic and you might have to wipe the knife or fork on your shirt. Also a bit dusty in places but for a cafe not bad little place, coffee is just normal shop bought. Just like something at home, overall okay i suppose.

“Great little themed Restaurant.”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Located at West Hoe this is a lovely little restaurant and its theme is fishing and the sea.The meals here are all reasonably priced and their all day breakfast is very good, you can get a roast dinner and all sorts of home cooked meals although there`s no a la carte which isn`t what this place is about, I recommend this because its clean, the staff are nice and the food is good and inexpensive, if you`re in the area theres nothing better.

“Honest English Food”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

A traditional English cafe serving ample portions of well cooked honest English food!

Something of a time warp, but that only adds to the appeal of the Port-o-Call over plastic eateries serving plastic food to plastic people.
