Watched Oliver here, a compact theatre with a good view of the stage from stall and 1st level seating. Right in town centre, restaurant on site.

“Lovely place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2012

They always have good shows and productions there. We went to see Oliver! and it was as good as the production we saw in Londons west end last year. The facilities are very good, there are enough toilets and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

“Backstage tour.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

My sister and I took my nephew on this fabulous tour this morning,Sat 4th Aug 2012.Our tour guide ,Pat, was very knowledgeable and factual. We even got an invite into the dressing rooms which were much smaller than you would imagine for 17 people to get ready for a production. From the very top of the theatre to the very bottom basement level was ful of intrigue and expectation. We had a tour of the green room, the pit and we were even allowed to be on stage and look out into the auditorium. The way that all of the props and scenery works and is lifted up and down into place is really interesting and technically is brilliant. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone to have a glimpse of the back stage areas and you would be surprised as to how much work and effort is put into each production. At £3.50 for an hour to an hour & a half tour it is exceptional value for money and appeals to all ages.

“lovely small theatre”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

I have seen quite a few shows here, the most recent being Legally Blonde, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The theatre is quite small, giving a loverly intimate atmosphere.

Toilets are clean, and queues never too bad.

Hot drinks before the show took a long time to make, maybe more experienced staff could be employed to improve this.
