“Beautiful apartment, excellent location”

Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean, and every thing we needed for a comfortable stay.

Excellent location, close to the Hoe and the sea.

Off street parking (for one car) was a real bonus. Good WiFi.

I do hope to visit again. Thanks Steve.

“Clean comfortable surprisingly spacious free parking and good location”
Reviewed March 17, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We would definitely book this apartment again. The layout of the place was excellent and we felt very much at home. The kitchen was well equipped and the location was excellent. Having an off road free car park was a huge plus.

“Great apartment in a good position”
Reviewed December 2, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

My wife, daughter and myself stayed in Parkview while visiting family. The whole booking and payment process was simple and the owner gave me all of the info that I needed for our arrival day.
The apartment itself is a good size and clean with everything that we needed during our short stay. The parking space at the back was also an added bonus.
Thanks and we'll definitely stay again if we visit in the future.

“Lovely Accommodation”
Reviewed November 21, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

My parents stayed for a week to celebrate my Fathers birthday and my wife and I joined them for the weekend, the apartment is spotlessly clean and every thing u require for an enjoyable break and nicely located close to the West Hoe and a short walk to town, the owner is very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, Only negatives were a very sensitive fire alarm which went off when cooking breakfast and a stiff shower door, these aside we highly recommend Park View and intend staying there again

“Lovely property with all mod cons and in a great location.”

We were looking for a self-catering place to stay for the weekend in Plymouth with two children and we came across this apartment. It was a lovely place, well decorated and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was also located a few minutes walk from the Hoe, Barbican and shopping centre so suited us perfectly. We will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend.

“Very good apartment”
Reviewed January 28, 2013 for a stay in December 2012

Stayed two nights in cold wet mid December. The apartment is on the first floor of an ordinary looking building (scroll through all the photos posted by the owner as we mistook the first photo as showing the apartment building but it's of the pretty surrounding area) and was not heated for our arrival late in the afternoon - a big problem for Aussies who left behind hot summer for this! It was a bit damp and musty. It took a while for the central heating to kick in but when it did it became warm and toasty.

The bedroom only has a double bed - this is a big gripe of mine. Two normal sized adults struggle with such a bed! They should NOT be called double. The room could accommodate a Queen bed, I would happily do without a side table for the extra sleeping space.

The kitchen was excellent with a full stove, microwave, large fridge and every utensil you require to self cater, including a coffee plunger. It would be a nice touch to have milk in the fridge and tea & coffee plus salt & pepper available. Unfortunately there was only a packet of sugar in the cupboard.

The lounge area had a good fold out sofa bed for our tall teenage son. He was more comfortable than his parents in his bed. Good TV with lots of channels and free wi-fi. The bathroom was tiny, just a toilet, small basin (no storage area) and shower, but adequate. There was no view from the back but the front looked over a tiny park, hence the fancy name for the apartment. The apartment's hallway was narrow and had steps. Those with mobility issues should be aware of this and not just assume the steps up to the first floor are all you need to navigate.

Position was good although you would need a car (and sat-nav) for shopping. The supposed free parking was impossible for our hire car. Maybe a Smart car could fit there. We had to pay for parking in the street but it was free after 4pm until 10am.

Plymouth was ok, we were expecting better. The weather certainly didn't help matters. It would be a different atmosphere in summer.

The apartment is decorated with pictures of London, New York & New York taxis - bit strange. We would have welcomed photos of Plymouth and surrounds.

All in all a very good apartment which could be excellent with a bigger bed, welcome provisions, and with the heating on for our arrival.

Management Response
Feb 6, 2013
We generally prepare the apartment on the day of arrival but in this case it was done the day before meaning that we didnt leave the central heating on as usual, which in hindsight and given the horrible weather that week was a mistake but im pleased that the combination of newly fitted boiler and double glazing throughout soon got the apartment up to temperature again.
It was our opinion that a standard double bed with a quality mattress would provide more space to walk around by the french doors leading out onto the balcony and a bedside cabinet with reading lamp is always a useful addition we have found.
There are 3 or 4 steps inside the apartment in the hallway which seperate the lounge area from the bedroom and shower room and there are handrails on both sides of the steps to aid mobility if required.
The private off street parking is a full sized bay and we frequently park our standard hatchback in there on changeover days as does our neighbour who parks his people carrier alongside us, however I appreciate that the service lane from which you turn in from does require a little patients and as stated you do have the option of ample free on street parking directly outside the apartment from 4.00pm to 10.00am the following day.
Our company name Citcoms is derived from different cities that we have visited around the world not just the beautiful city that we live in hence the city landscapes on the walls and the park that we overlook is one of Plymouth's largest children's play parks which we thought justified the apartments name.
