Charming hotel, pleasant stay. Looks good on the outside and nice reception, hall and stairs on the inside! However, not much interaction with staff or receptions, check in was easy and it was great to have free parking included too.
The room was a good size, just enough space with a nice ensuite, all very clean and comfortable with a nice view over plymouth (was on the 5th floor, luckily there is a small lift.) Tea making facilities available, however the mugs and glasses in the room weren't clean, the glasses in the bathroom still had toothpaste in them, although they had been wrapped in plastic to seem as if they were clean.
Dog friendly which is a plus! and a great locations, especially if you want to make the most of being in Plymouth.
We went out the Barbican in the evening to eat, very close, easily walking distance however we took the car with us so that we could keep the dog there whilst we ate. We arrived back at the hotel for 11pm meaning we had to use the front entrance and get allowed into the hotel. So the security is good. However, the Door staff at night was abit stern and not very friendly, but we only saw him for a few seconds then swiftly went to our room.
Overall a nice stay, pleasant and easy and clean.More
