When i saw this place on the internet i thought it looked very nice so was happy to pay £90 for a small room for 3 nights.Well when i arrived i was in for a shock.Firstly there were builders waiting to be checked in,then when i found my room i couldnt believe my eyes,it was like the awful bedsits i use to live in,dirty, very tired looking, miss match of furniture which included a wardrobe which was taped together, carpets dusty,10 different plastic coat hangers,a take away container used for the coffea, tea and sugars which contaned used packets, dirty cups, glasses, spoons, rusty tired old kettle with missing filter, stains on the bedding, black hairs on bedding, dust around pictures, mould around toilet cistern and broken, toilet roll holder in the wrong place, soap used from previous guest, shower head mouldy, shower cubicle coverd in soap streaks, underneath sink was filfy, toilet was dirty especially around fittings, extractor fan was glogged with dust, lampshade, radiator and alongside wardrobe very dusty.Looking out the window you could clearly see that this place has not been looked after, with paint coming away from windows, rusty railings and weeds growing out of the drain pipes. The towels have been written on with marker with the name of the B&B which iv never come across before. It says on the internet that this place is situated on the famous Plymouth Hoe which isnt true,it is close to the Hoe.It also says that they serve an excellant FULL English breakfast which also isnt true, the breackfast is nice but deffinately not a full English breakfast.Well this will teach me to book last minute.Very tired run down place, not worth £90 for 3 nights.

Room Tip: If you dont see a photo of the room you want dont book it.

Stayed here for a weekend recently. When we first arrived our oppinion was dissappointing. The room was very small and cold. There was a tea tray in the room but never refilled after the first day. No little extras like biscuits. Heating was on for the first day, after that radiator was cold. No heating in the "bathroom". Yes there was a tv in the room, but smaller than a pc moniter. On the plus side the lady owner was friendly and we had a nice breakfast, but tight with the toast, only one piece each. Also tight with toilet rolls!!!. We had to buy towels as the towels in the room were soo hard they would have scratched our skin. However it was spotlessly clean, and cheap compared to some of the others, so you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Take your own towels toilet rolls and tea bags

we stayed one night for a theatre trip. this is a lovely b and b , most welcoming. The theatre , shops , barbican and hoe are very close. The room was spacious and easily accomodated the three of us, breakfast was excellent in fact we found no fault at all.
All in all we would certainly recommend this hotel and will definately be returning again.
For the price probably the best value b and b in Plymouth.

This is a lovely B&B we have been staying here since 2006. Always a friendly welcome and Norma has time for you which is a rare commodity nowadays. Our son stayed once, missed breakfast and was still given a large bacon sandwich and a coffee. If you are looking for a good comfy B&B in Plymouth this could be it! Rooms have always been comfortable and clean. Lovely full English breakfast as well as tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Close to the Hoe, town centre and good if you have children at or thinking of going to the university. On street parking outside which is free overnight - added bonus!

Room Tip: If you are older or pregnant ask for a room on the lower floors

Booked this hotel and was so pleased I did ! Great value. Room was spacious and airy with good facilities. Breakfast was first class. Such a good location - 3 min walk to the shops, 3 min walk to the truly breath taking Plymouth Ho ! Will definately be recommending this hotel.
