the cafe on the terrace give a great view of plymouth sound as far out to the braek waters you can see all kinds of sea or river going craft pass by while you sit there have a nice drink and if you are there at the right time you see the sun slowly set the sky turns orangy red and slowly the sun sets under the horizon but the fun doesn't stop its back up to maderia road over the hoe to the barbican for the evening which is 10-15 minutes walk

The fact that the location is so spectacular allows the place to get away wth blue murder! Cup of tea made with a bag of tasteless powder, cup of coffee that could barely be descibed as such, and a packetted 'cookie' whose packet was probably more tasty than the contents. Just awful!

Cold calm autuminal day, and sun peaking behind the clouds, decided to have a walk along the Hoe and then for a cup of tea and cake. Into the Terraces Cafe, beautiful setting looking over the Hoe, friendly staff, prompt service, reasonable prices and a tasty piece of cake and a tea and hot chocolate. Surprised at how busy they were. Beautiful setting and saw Naval ships coming in and out of Plymouth but the real treat was to see a 4 masted clipper going to sea.
