good location 5mins to town 2mins to Hoe 15 mins stroll to Barbican,on site parking a real bonus, breakfast good , room a bit dated but comfortable shower could have been better nice veiw of the Plymouth Wheel from room 16. China House is a nice but little pricey (go round to the far side of the Barbican)

Everything was nicely decorated and spotless, and the room was very warm on a very cold night. Breakfast was good, and the staff very helpful and friendly. The location is very central, and having a car park is an added bonus. In all, great value.

Stayed here for one night last night and it is very good value for money. We chose this guesthouse, as it has private free parking at the rear of the property. This was necessary as we had a large amount of luggage in the car. Staff very helpful and attentive and breakfast was very good indeed. Location is ideal for the town centre and the Barbican. Thoroughly recommended if in area.

Stayed at Number One to attend son's graduation ceremony and was very impressed with accommodation. It is clean and rooms are spacious. Showers could have been better but did not diminish our stay overall.
Location is excellent and parking is an added bonus in Plymouth.

Booked Number One after being let down by other hotel. A first class guest house, very clean in all areas. Light and airy rooms of a good standard. Staff and owners very accomodating and helpfull. Breakfast of a good standard with a variety to cover all tastes. Only poor point being the mixer showers in the bathrooms not a very powerfull flow and ran hot and cold. Car parking to the rear is a bonus and situated very near to the Hoe, Barbican etc. All in all good value and very comfortable Thank You.

I stayed with 2 friends for a weekend in July. The bedrooms were spotless, had everything we could ask for and were extremely comfortable for a weekend without husbands and children!

The hotel is perfectly situated for beautiful walks along the hoe, catching the ferry over to Cornwall, or strolling into town for some shopping or restaurants. Didn't need to use the car all weekend (so the carpark was a perfect place to forget the car!).

Doug and Vivienne were excellent hosts, they treated us like personal guests and were fantastic from the moment we turned up to the time we checked out. Breakfast was delicious, with a waitress who was polite, courteous and cheerful both mornings we ate breakfast - just what was needed after late nights!

Would recommend it without hesitation and can't wait to go back!

We stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. We arrived a little early, our room wasn't quite ready but we were able to park the car in the large carpark and go for a walk. The room was clean and tidy and quite large, with a lovely big window.

Breakfast was nice with good service.

We'd definately stay here again.
