Everything was perfect while staying here (even the weather, which was lucky!). Stayed one night, room was large and had en suite and tea making facilities. Slept very well in the lovely comfy beds. The hosts are great and very welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic! Would/will stay again.

I have stayed at the Seymour Guest House twice, now, and would not hesitate to stay there again. It is often on my list of regular haunts. Karen and Ray are very good hosts and keep a very tidy and clean guesthouse. They cater equally well for the single traveler and I have no objection to their slight surcharge to upgrade from a single room to a "single' in a double room en-suite. Makes the stay that little more pleasurable.

We spent one night at Seymour Guest House and had a very pleasant stay.
Our room was lovely and the bathroom, though small, was very neat and well-arranged.

We had the usual tea/coffee packets in the room, but a welcome addition was the hot chocolate. (We had only one packet though, so it might be good to ask for more before retiring for the night). We had a twin bed room on the first floor. It got quite chilly at night, but with the radiator on the room warmed up quite fast.

There was a large TV in the room and the guest house provides several DVDs for guests. The usual hotel guide provided for the guests was also quite well-done with polite requests not to bring in food and with a guide to good restaurants near by. The restaurants aren't as close as they suggest, but are within walking distance and VERY good!

We were right in front of Hoe Park and the sea-front was just a short walk away. There was also a convenient bus stop about 5 mins away from the hotel.

Breakfast was wonderful and very generous!
All in all, we ended up wishing we could stay another night or so.

Would definitely recommend this b and b to families/couples.

Hello Numberdevil
Thank you for taking the time to review our guest house and it was nice to hear that you had a pleasant stay. Especially that you thought that our breakfasts were wonderful and generous.

We supply a good amount of beverages in the guest rooms and although there is only one hot chocolate sachet there is usually a selection of extra beverage sachets, milk and biscuits available on the hall table.

I am not sure which restaurant you visited, but Plymouth has a wonderful selection of restaurants some only 250-300 metres from the guest house. I hope if ever you return to Plymouth that you stay with us again. I can give you some good advise on places to eat, as I like to try them out. Hence the size of my hips.

I have stayed here many times with work collegues and this is a very clean B&B. The hosts are friendly and always willing to help, excellent location for everything Plymouth, excellent rooms for the money and breakfast is on par with any local hotel in Plymouth.

Room Tip: I have never needed anything other than what is in the room and have had a good nights sleep in all...

I stayed here just for 1 night for a conference.

The room was clean, comfy, presented nicely and had everything I needed. Breakfast was good with a veggie option. The man was not overly chatty but pleasant enough, and the lady was very friendly and accommodating. It is a bit of a walk from the rail station, but easy enough if you know Plymouth, and v good access for The Hoe.

Overall a good simple stopover and I would stay again

Hi Questkins
Thank you for your kind review and very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us at the Seymour.
It is a shame that your stay was not longer and then you would have got to know Ray a bit better, as he is quite shy and takes a while to get chatting. He prefers that I chat to the guests and he likes to hide in the kitchen doing the cooking.
I hope if ever you come to Plymouth in the future that you will choose to stay with us again.
Thanks again.
Best wishes
Karen

Hi
I remember your stay with us, and it was very nice to meet you. With Plymouth being a busy place our guests often only stay 1 or 2 nights, so it is nice when we get guests that stay a while longer especially when they enjoy our service.
Thank you for your review, and I do hope you get the chance to come again.
