“honeymoon stay at Sinai House”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

We stayed at Sinai House for 4 days following our wedding on July 4th 2013 - we are so glad we did. Our hosts Debbie and Nigel couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We were given room 2 which had fabulous seaviews. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and offered excellent choices. Debbie let us know about the best places to visit and for the evenings the best places for dinner and drinks - she even offered to phone and reserve a table for us in the local award winning Spanish tapas bar. We would go for our evening meal and on returning visit the honesty bar to round off our evening. We highly recommend Sinai House and will be returning ourselves in the near future.

Found this hotel by chance thru Lynton tourist information, how lucky were we? We discover a beautiful hotel, very clean and to a high standard, with beautiful views across the hills thru the sea and on into Wales, run by beautiful people who couldn't have been mre helpful and welcoming if they had tried, we really felt that teir hone was our home during the duration of our stay, serving beautiful food, a good hearty breakfast, and a good reasonable evening menu. Great atmosphere and plenty to do. Will definitely be back for a longer visit, and will recommend to our friends

My boyfriend and I booked to stay for one night as it was my birthday and we fancied a short break on the coast. Our room at Sinai House was gorgeous, huge comfortable bed, soft sheets and a fantastic view of the sea with Wales in the distance. Debbie was so friendly and helpful and we felt right at home. Breakfast was fab, great selection of food and my smoked salmon and scrambled eggs really set me up for the day. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 2 where you can see the sea whilst lying in bed!

On arrival we received a very warm welcome to this tastefully decorated, clean and cosy hotel. The room, at the top of the house was amazing, what a view!!! We left the curtains open so we could wake up to a stunning view across the estuary. Then the smell of breakfast hit us. I travel a lot with work and have stayed in many 5* hotels but this breakfast matched them all. We will be recommending Sinai House to all our friends and family.

I am glad that we chose to stay at Sinai House after not reading up before on TripAdvisor but seems we made the right choice.

Even prior to arriving Debbie and Nigel were great hosts. Attending a wedding in the area they were happy to accommodate us arriving early and even dropped us off at the venue because there were no taxis available. The level of service continued for our stay and i am only sad it was only for the night.

The room itself was very spacious with an en-suite and an amazing view of the coastline and surrounding area. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean, tidy and in great condition.

Breakfast in the morning was very hearty and they were happy to advise us of where to walk it off following the path to the Valley of the Rocks and back through the town for a look in a number of shops.

I will definitely be back and next time for more than one night!

Room Tip: They are willing to make the twin rooms doubles if you ask in advance!

I hadn't read any reports on Trip Advisor when I booked our one night stay at Sinai House whilst walking the South West Coast Path but, when I did, I was impressed with the comments.
It was a lovely day (May Day Monday) when we arrived and Debbie & Nigel made us feel very much at home. We made use of the honesty bar and sat on the terrace with a bottle of wine admiring the beautiful views over Lynton and beyond to the sea as the sun went down.
Our rooms were fine - clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Debbie gave us good advice on where to eat that night and, when we arrived, all the diners were staying at Sinai House, including Debbie and her visiting family.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice, served in the pleasant dining room.
We would definitely stay at Sinai House again and recommend it to anyone visiting Lynton. You thoroughly deserve your Trip Advisor award.
Thank you for posting my torch back to me.

Room Tip: Our three rooms all had sea views and were excellent.

We only stayed for one night but it seemed as though nothing was too much trouble for Debbie and Nigel. We were allowed into our room very early as it was ready which helped us get sorted to go and explore Lynton & Lynmouth. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed inluding a fantastic view. The grounds are wonderful and a great place to sit and relax if you have the time. Breakfast was great and plentiful. We would definitely stay here again.
We would also recommend Lynton as the place to stay rather than Lynmouth as it just has a nicer feel. You can walk up and down between the two or if you prefer use the water powered tram instead!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room.
