“A real village cinema.”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Converted from a village hall many years ago, and staffed mainly by volunteers, this is a quaint and traditional village cinema. We try to go every year and have seen some great films here. Give it a try, it has charm in abundance.

“Great for a wet afternoon”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

This little cinema is staffed by volunteers and they all seem to enjoy it - ring up to book tickets and you have a lovely chat about the weather and the film, so different from the dispiriting experience of booking for multiplex! There are sweets and drinks available in the foyer (at normal prices, good grief!!!) and the little auditorium, may have a faintly musty air, but is warm and cosy and the screen, sound and projection quality is fine. We spent a happy rainy afternoon there, and look forward to further visits.

“Digital experience on Exmoor!”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

Having last visited the cinema in 2012, I returned recently. Now fully digitally produced films. Latest films on show in a very quaint and relaxed atmosphere. You are escorted to your seat personally by torch light (as in days gone by).
£5.00 each entrance - not bad at all and sweets can be purchased inside too!
Pure nostalgia but up to date too!

“magnificent”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Whilst on hols we decided to go the cinema, what a lovely experience, a small quaint cinema, dating back to the 1930's, it has only seatibng for 68, so best to book first. Cheap entry price and also very reasonable priced popcorn and chocolates. Comfy seats with plently of legroom. Lovely staff, a must place to visit if you like the cinema

“Superb mini-cinema!”

Despite its small size, there's lots of leg room & comfy seats. Prices are low. Full surround sound. Very friendly staff.
