“Excellent food, great location”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

A great little restaurant, with a decent menu and plenty of character. Service was good, food was top notch.

I would agree with the previous reviewer - it looks a bit top-endish on first glance, but the quality of the food is in line with the pricing, so well worth it.

“Probably the best in Lynton”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

We ate here on a Saturday night and found it bustling with life, a good sign. The food was imaginative and delicious (butternut and leek dish to start, sea bass with dauphinoise potatoes and fine beans, rhubarb and ginger hot pudding, good cheese board), and reasonably priced. The only niggle we found was that the lighting was a little dingy, and the restaurant would benefit from some floor lamps and other soft but bright lamps as well as the ceiling spot bulbs. Friendly and efficient service. I would definitely return.

Lovely little restaurant in Lynton, food beautifully cooked, vegetarian and vegan diners welcomed. Good wine list, especially the Merlot. Very welcoming and laid back. Thoroughly recommended.

“Nice quiet restaurant, good alternative to pub food”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

We were getting tired of pub food so welcomed this small restaurant in Lynton. Only has 8 tables. Looked a tad expensive from the window-displayed menu, but quality was consistent with prices. Warm grilled chicken on salad leaves was much better than anticipated, and my wife enjoyed her baked haddock. Excellent merlot. Rhubarb, ginger and butterscotch pudding is heavenly.
