“Best ploughman's”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

Easily the best ploughman's I've had in years. Home made chutney, great quality chase and ham, a fruity and fresh salad. Perfect.

“Great cream tea - but the world doesn't need the word 'cafaurant'”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

This café is right at the top of the famous Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway. I have to admit to a degree of scepticism initially; places that are in a great location often exploit their position to deliver mediocre food at high prices. However, if the cream tea I had is anything to go by, this establishment doesn't match that stereotype. Everything about the cream tea was delicious and the superb food matched the excellent views. The cream tea was £4.95 for one - not cheap but this seems to be the going rate locally, with no obvious overcharging for the view. The service was quick too. In fact, the only bad thing about the place is its use of the term 'cafaurant' in its name - who thought this would be a good idea? Oh, one more thing - the notice about a 50p service charge for a glass of tap water does let the place down a bit.

“Terrific!”
Reviewed June 6, 2013 via mobile

Had a fantastic Devon Cream Tea here. Two fresh scones, cream and rhubarb jam. Excellent value. Excellent quality. Scones were warm from the oven. Ace. Highly recommended. Thank you. This was our third cream tea in Devon, and by far the best.
