A truly lovely hotel, with charming features. I am becoming a regular at this hotel, having stayed now four or five times, but it is consistently good value for money. The hotel is owned by a lovely couple, who always make you feel comfortable and that nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are clean and spacious; the breakfast choice and quality is super. The views are lovely, with great restaurants and cafes very close by. Rock House is friendly with good quality fayre.

Visit the town of Lynton on the venicular railway...its a real treat, with lots of little shops and a quaint cinema (in a church!).

I can't wait to visit again.

Stayed here two nights. Shelleys is in th eperfect spot. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and peaceful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Jane and Richard were very welcoming. Even helped out via email with advice about family lineage after we had left.

Shelleys is right in the middle of Lynmouth, in the perfect place to start out for a walk towards Watersmeet or off up the hills and the coast to the Valley of Rocks. The host was friendly and informative about the local area, recommending the excellent Rising Sun for food, and the room was very comfortable and clean (we stayed in Shelley's room, where it's thought Shelley may have honeymooned, and we liked the view and the comfortable bed).

Breakfast was tasty and filling, perfectly setting us up for a ramble. We'd be delighted to go back.

Had a wonderful time in Lynmouth this weekend the hotel was comfortable and mine hosts v friendly without being over the top. Rooms and Breakfast v good, ambiance excellent; we had a balcony with a conservatory that added to the delight of this hotel, Views from our room were superb and even when it rained last evening this didn't deter from the cosy feeling of the room. Well done Richard and Jane. p.s loved the honesty bar, prices v good

Room Tip: Book a room with the conservatory as if it rains you still get a view and the feeling of being outsi...

Stayed here 4 nights in July. Was not really sure what to expect but thankfully we chose Shelley's. Richard and Jane were fantastic from the very start, really making you feel at home. We stayed in one of the more basic rooms, which were of good size and had a view of the sea so an added bonus. Breakfast was good, decent variety. Nice communal area with some classic games which was great to relax in with a glass of wine. Lynmouth is on the door step so great when popping out for the evening.
Lynmouth has plenty to do for a short stay. Few restaurants and bars and a short trip to Linton gives you a few more options. It is also a good place to base yourself if you want to explore the area. Definitely would recommend talking to Richard to get the low down on the local pubs!
Thanks for a great stay, hopefully we will be back.

A lovely hotel in an outstanding area especially if you are a "walker". The hotel overlooks the sea and harbour with easy access to the pretty village of Lynmouth. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast splendid, all overseen by the owners to ensure standards are maintained.
