2 bed apartment with all the fixtures. 2 bathroom. Very modern. Renovated old building. Car park space. Central location, close to everything in the city.
This apartment has everything you will need for a more then comfortable stay (luxury) in downtown Exeter. Close to the quay and Cathedral. Easy walk around the city center.
Fully equipped kitchen. The starter pack supplied was very generous and many single use items like cooking oils, washing liquids and even some ketchup are in the cupboards. Perfect for a family stay in central Exeter. We’d come back any time.
The apartment is modern, clean and bright, extremely well maintained, with an incredible central city location just minutes from the main high street and Exeter Cathedral. Private parking was a major plus. There was plenty of storage throughout (we had a lot of stuff as came from overseas), great spacious bathrooms and very comfortable living space with a large dining room table, comfortable sofas, and a fantastic kitchen with breakfast bar, that had literally every kitchen utensil you could need. There was even fresh milk, chocolates and a bottle of wine and cheese, fresh croissants, jam as a welcome! The apartment was big enough that our young son was able to get a good nights sleep whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine and TV in the living room without disturbing him. The only minor drawback was the single glazed windows and a few loud voices in the early hours (on a couple of occasions) that disturbed my husband and I as we slept. I guess we are simply used to double glazing! This is the nature of staying in a period property and it did not spoil our stay. We have re-booked for next year for a longer stay and would highly recommend this fantastic apartment.
This apartment was so perfect in so many ways. It was a few steps from the cathedral and great restaurants. The shopping street was about the same. The apartment itself was modern, very well equipped and comfortable. It had gated parking. The concierge, Mick, was an absolute gem, walking out about a 1/2 mile to find us when our GPS didn't realize the street had been changed and did so after hours. The apartment was well stocked with essentials, plus a bottle of wine and snacks. We had two bedrooms, two baths, a great kitchen and a sitting room, all for the price of a decent hotel. The only negative is that it is a college town and a few students walked by late at night, talking loudly. I put in the foam earplugs from our flight and slept very soundly. That being said, I've had rooms in quality hotels that were far noisier. I would stay again if I were in the area in a heartbeat.
I have stayed at this apartment for 10 nights .So enjoyable and amazing!!
This is a 5 star apartment with modern furnishings, well equipped kitchen , clean bathrooms, high ceiling....everything is excellent!!
It is the best apartment in Exeter .
If I am back in the future, no other choice except this .
The owner Tina is so kind , the Conceige Mick is very helpful.
Strongly recommended this apartment to any visitors to Exeter!!
This apartment is without doubt, the best we have stayed in our worldwide travels. The location was perfect and the apartment was spacious, immaculate, very secure and had every appliance & perhaps more than you would have at home. The kitchen was well stocked & included a very generous welcome pack of goodies.
If only we could find apartments like this in our other destinations. I would recommend this to any fellow traveler who seeks quality accommodation.
Ok, where to start...
BRILLIANT! the apartment is genuinely under 5mins at a slow walk from the center of Exeter. The car park space is a huge bonus as parking can be tricky and is expensive in exeter.
Southernhay (the area it's in) is beautiful and old fashioned, it backs straight onto princesshay (modern, funky, GREAT shopping!). All the city center attractions are easy walking distance. (try underground passages, RAMM museum, walking tour , cathedral etc etc). As the apartment is exit and entrance by key fob i felt safe and very comfortable, Exeter generally feels safe and comfortable to wander around. The concierge service was a huge bonus and wealth of local knowledge.
Exeter makes an amazing base for visiting Devon and is central to most of Devon's great attractions, coast, dartmoor etc etc.
I'm quite fussy and not easily impressed, i walked in and went WOW! The apartment is tastefully decorated and equipped to a very high top end degree. Everything i wanted was there. For me personally, i especially liked the proper coffee machine and lux feel of the place!
It was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. Good quality bed linen and nice and warm. Spent far too much time in the beautiful bathrooms and it is a place you want to linger in, rather than charge in and leg it out the door asap, like some other places i've stayed in.
FAB! Tina is warm and welcoming, easy to get hold of and uber helpful. This is a loved apartment, not just a way to make money and it shows. The welcome pack of food and goodies she left for us was an unexpected pleasure and is the best i've EVER been left, thank you.
Would i stay here again? oh YES! When i return to Exeter this is my first choice. It seriously raises the bar for rental properties and i want some more!
Thank you Tina for such a thoughtful, wonderful stay.
This would have to be the premier rental in Exeter. The building, a former hospital converted into apartments, is situated on a beautifully leafy street in the attractive Georgian area. The concierge was helpful, there is a gym, elevator, and a secure car park.
The apartment has high ceilings, is spacious, light and airy, and is equipped with all mod cons and day-to-day essentials.
Our very friendly hostess met us on arrival and had thoughtfully placed some provisions in the refrigerator.
There was so much within easy walking distance .... the Cathedral, the Cathedral's square bordered by historical buildings with eating options, the Quay on the river, and the very busy high street with all the major stores.
We stayed in Exeter for eight days to explore the surrounding counties, and it was a perfect base to access north to the Bristol Channel, south to the coastal cities, and as far west as Lands End. After a day's driving, we really appreciated returning to the comforts of the apartment..
Thank you Tina, we had a really memorable holiday in Exeter, and will always have a mental picture of the lovely neighbourhood we enjoyed every day.
