Wife and I went to this place after it being recommended by a Greek friend. The place is unassuming, but the food is wonderful. We felt it was like home made traditional Mediterranean style food. It is obviously fresh and they don't have all dishes available all the time. I had a nice mixture of salads and each one was very tasty, while my better half had shishkebab with salad, which was excellent. The food was extremely good value and we'll be going there again.

Abdulla and Aysha cook home made traditional Turkish food, made fresh daily. Don't be deceived by the modest exterior, inside you'll get a lovely meal at a fair price and a lot of smiles. This place is adored by locals who form a loyal clientele.

Go here occasionally for lunch when I'm in Exeter. I always have a small mixed salad. It's homemade, delicious and V good value. Never ordered any of the more English style dishes. Very friendly family run business, would recommend.

Every time we come to Exeter, we always eat at the Dinosaur Cafe.

The food is broadly Mediterranean with a heavy Turkish influence and they change their mains every day because they make it from fresh, and you can really tell- it's some of the nicest food I've eaten anywhere, ever. I just don't understand how they get so much flavour in to what can seem like basic ingredients- it's like comfort food your Turkish mother in law/grandmother would make..

The service is really friendly and attentive and food is brought out promptly, so there's no waiting around.

It's popular with students because at £12 for two courses, which includes a drink, you cannot go wrong. We always leave very satisfied and full and it has inspired us to try some of their dishes at home.

We were looking for good food, but not an overly fancy or expensive restaurant and this fitted the bill perfectly.

As others have said the welcome is exceptionally warm and friendly. We had a selection of Meze and shared a hearty main course with a bottle of decent Australian red, plus a dessert. Everything was delicious and the total was around £18 a head.

Our son is vegetarian and we recommended that he try this as there is plenty of great food for veggies on the menu.

Be aware that the cafe shuts at 9pm, so this is not the place for a late night linger.
