I went there to attend a conference in the University. The facility is well taken care of. The university campus itself is wonderful. The city is quiet, clean and very 'English'. The view of the vista, rolling hills, river flowing through the town are breathe taking.

What a gem Holland Hall is. A deal. Rooms are clean, great view of the city. A pleasant 10 minutes' downhill walk to the city center. Exeter Cathedral is a glorious Gothic church. The guildhall is also lovely. It's Bath without the tourists, grime and the price gouging hotels where 120 pounds a night gets one a pathetic shoe box of a bedroom.

Internet speed is 30!!! Free!

Just returned following a week-end visit to Exeter. Our B&B stay at Holland Hall provided typical student accommodation ie. being pitched somewhere between Premier Inn & YHA comfort. Clean/comfortable but basic, the excellent breakfast meant it provided excellent value for money.
A local bus service is available to take you into a vibrant City Centre with a peaceful oasis around the Cathedral.

Room Tip: As the campus is set in lovely landscaped gardens it is on a Hillsiide therefore any rooms on frontage will offer best views.

Visited the uni for the first time for a conference and was pleasantly surprised. Hilly but all of Exeter is so that is to be expected. Very accessible (The Forum even has an audio described disabled toilet!) which makes a big difference.

Stayed at this location whilst on a 4 day bowls tour of Devon. The accommodation was good with a large bed and on suite facilities. I slept well and made use of the tea making equipment in the room. Great views across the valley, the river and towards Dartmoor.

We had good meals in the dining room although the evening meal was very restricted in choice but was adequate. The staff were lovely, very helpful and went out of their way to make sure you had what you wanted. Even seconds were offered at a couple of the meals.

The bar was open in the evening until 2300 hours. Although the bar was a little bit expensive it had a fairly good range of drinks and the service was excellent.

Enjoyed my stop here and hope to return next September.

Room Tip: Upper front rooms in block B and C have great views over the valley.
