Lovely little Inn which was busy for the time of year and no wonder because the service, food and ambiance was second to none. We were lucky to have had the 4 poster room which was very comfortable, but the room was a little hot so just turned the heating off. Better that than a cold room which is the case with our English climate!
Really peaceful and beautiful setting down a very narrow (single) country lane. Close to Exeter with its attractions and shopping. About 70 miles away from the Eden Project in Cornwall.
If dining at the Inn, and you certainly should, book a table in the Dining Room. Seating is spacious with clutter free tables. Food is to die for. Well cooked, locally sourced ingredients, which are presented in the style of 'fine dining', but don't be fooled, portions are generous. Nothing is too much to request and all diet requirements are catered for with prior notice.
Extensive wine and whisky lists and I believe they hold regular wine-tastings.
Can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: Try to secure the 4 poster room and definitely book a table in their dining room when dining at the...

My wife and I stayed at the Nobody Inn on the recommendation of our daughter in law. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome - the drive through the Moors was fabulous with great scenery round every corner - we stayed in Room 4 - the room like the Inn was full of character and very comfortable - the beers were great - we ate dinner in the bar, the food was delicious and the atmosphere super - breakfast was a delight - the price was more than reasonable - we will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Room 4 was super

Called in for a quick lunch. Lovely old pub in the middle of nowhere, make sure you pack a map or get directions! The ploughman's with ham, local Devon cheese, half a small quail size scotch egg and pickle was a good portion size, and very good. The bread served with it was only average. Our other choice was a starter size potted brown shrimps with well dressed salad, and a couple of small slices of bread (different bread from above). Again the bread was a let down, and it was quite pricey for the portion size. The treacle tart with clotted cream was delish, and cost £5.95. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll be back - if we can find it again!

We stumbled across this fabulous pub during a rare few days without children in tow. What a find! The decor in the bedrooms and the pub is very carefully thought out and a delight to anyone with an appreciation for interior design. The owner/manager has slept in every room to ensure maximum comfort and has recently upgraded to superior mattresses to guarantee a good night's sleep. Dining tables for staying guests are held all evening, so we could amble down anytime after the complimentary sherry provided in our room. Choice and flexibility are a real feature at the Nobody Inn, with an extensive range of wines to suit both the discerning connoiseur to those on a budget and choices of cheeses could be picked from a long list. The staff provided an excellent, highly professional service whilst maintaining a delightfully informal, cheerful atmosphere. This one tops all pub stays to date.

This was a first visit for my family and we loved it. The Inn is situated in lovely countryside in a pretty village. We went for Saturday lunch and the menu had enough choice to keep all of us happy. The food was excellent and my husband really enjoyed the steak and ale pie. The staff have a sense of humour which is always welcome and we had no problems with the service at all. The pub itself is cosy , it is old and they have managed to keep the feel of age without over doing it. The beers were kept well and my husband thought the trio of three beers(three small glass that equals a pint) was a great idea, as he did not know any of the real ales on offer.
The toilets are modern and very clean . There is parking and also an outside area with tables and chairs.
We hope to visit again very soon

We have been staying for 3 nights at nobody Inn . The stay was really nice specially the staff, in the end I was almost sorry to leave.
Upon arriving I found myself in a valley of smiles from the very first person I met "owner" , then at dinner, we have been served by a lovely waitress. With great welcoming smile .
Entering the room, it was clean The bathroom small very clean.
The bed was one thing that if I could take him home, I would have done. Hard in the right places and comfortable for me but not for my partner as he did not like hard bed..
Breakfast was very good

These are the things that made me enjoy my stay at the inn, but my warmest congratulations to the inn for their choice of personnel. They know how to really make you feel at home, and if you need anything it is like asking a family member. Congratulations from the heart, you were fantastic.
Room one en suit need some TLC
Dinner excellent specially The glazed duck.. It was yammy

You know when you book into a place and find yourself harbouring thoughts of never going home? Well, that's exactly what I thought when I arrived at The Nobody Inn. I stayed here prior to going to an Open Day at the Met Office (not as geeky as it sounds, actually very interesting - and free!). After a long drive, it was heaven to relax with a couple of drinks in the bar area, which oozed character from every pore: all oak beams, settles and wonderful yellowing walls, which reflected the age and history of the building; refreshing to find somewhere not Farrow n Ball'd to within an inch of it's life. The bedroom was very comfortable and homely, the staff and service friendly, relaxed and efficient and the food, both at dinner and breakfast, was first rate and very well priced. Love to see different cuts of meat used in a menu - the flat-iron steak was cooked to perfection, tasty and tender and with all the accompaniments, came with a price tag equivalent to a gourmet burger in some other joints. Will definitely come here again - everything under one roof - perfect.
