The Quay is a wonderful place to visit as a couple, with family or even friends. There is loads to do on the water, and lots of little market style shops selling unique gifts and bits & bobs. There are also some great cafe's and restaurants.

Lovely & interesting area for relaxing and people watching.
Small quirky "shops" in the arches.
Nice cafe inside the antique shop (can’t remember its name or would have reviewed separately) the home made Victoria sponge was to die for and the coffee was great.

.... good even on a horrid day when you can enjoy the unusual shops housed in the archways along the quay.

A boat trip to the nearby pub is also a must, with a good selection of return trip times.

There's often free street entertainment going on too in the summer. What more could you ask for?

Interesting shops under the arches, you can hire canoes and cycle for miles along the canal from here, and there are great cafes on both sides, the pizzas are to die for. It's also very child friendly with a pedestrian bridge and lots of swans and ducks to feed! Walking distance of Exeter Centre.

The old river quay warehouses in the past were the great storehouses for the woollen trade, now they contain a row of little art and gift stores making this a very interesting place to visit. A little pub, The Prospect, serves pub food and the usual booze. Easily reached on foot from the centre of Exeter - signposted most of the way.
