Walked out of the station, across the road and into the Premier Inn. Very comfortable as usual, very quiet considering its location. Nothing unusual about it, Premier Inn generally deliver the same wherever, and it was clean, comfortable and a bargain for two nights in a city that is known for costly accommodation.
Minor concerns more for the staff not the premises, though the heating was a struggle to get right in the well-below-freezing temps outside. I thought I had booked and paid for wifi in advance (I had 3 consecutive nights in Premier Inns this week) but no record. No reminder of that good night guarantee this time, and not all the breakfast options were mentioned. Evening meal was very slow one night, yet restaurant was quiet.
Overall though you cannot beat this at £29 a night room only.More
