We booked the Premier Inn on one of it's 'sales'! Great value for money. Good location for exploring the wonderful city of Exeter. There is no car park but the parking in the train station was great! We're going to return and come on the train! There was a great offer for a three course meal, glass of wine or beer and breakfast - great value! We enjoyed our trip immensely!

Very impressed with this hotel - rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Check in very quick and easy - very helpful and friendly staff. Didn't eat there but breakfast smelt delicious! Had paid for 24 hour parking when we arrived so decided to catch the train into Exeter rather than move the car and pay again to park - only cost £1.95 for the three of us so well worth it. Definately recommend staying here.

just got back from our stay, and must say what a delight it was to stay here. The staff where all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean,we took the meal deal of £22 for a 3 course dinner and breakfast combined. The dinner was really good,it was so much that we did not have room for a dessert. The breakfast was all you could eat,and it set us up for the day,no need for lunch.
The only minor thing was that the dinner service was leisurely, they did apologise to us,which was nice, but you might need to go down early like we did if you have less time.

I stay in Premier Inns all over the UK and I wouldn't rank this anywhere near the top. The new automated reception was staffed by very young and not terribly welcoming staff compared with others and seemed to rely on printed lists of guests ( unlike the older style check ins) initially they couldn't find my reservation on this list, which as I had not only booked for myself but also my boss had the potential to be embarrassing. Room heater/fan was very noisy so switched off. Thyme restaurant fine but really cold, why is a/c cranked up in October. All in all ok, but could do better.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at rear as you may want open window as fan so noisy!

Stayed here on a 2 night weekend break to explore Exeter and go to a concert. Hotel is located right opposite St Davids station, walking distance from the city centre and university but up a relatively steep hill. We had room 221 which was situated on the right hand side of the building, adjacent to a footpath providing a cut through to the station and city. Whilst we didn't get disturbed by the trains we could hear the gentle rumble in the distance ( a bit like hearing a washing machine running next door.) we slept with our window closed but imagine in the summer there would be a fallout from trains or commuters/night time revellers.

Having said that, the hotel was spotlessly clean, very friendly staff, convenient location, and great price. There is no onsite parking but on road restricted hours free and pay and display, and station car park opposite was easy to access.

Would definitely stay again.

Good twin room, staff polite, quick and efficient check in- was as expected from premier inn.

The breakfast was good and plenty off it! The only observation i would say, is the chap who escorts you to your table, goes through a rather robotic speil about breakfast at a rather LOUD level...just turn it down a few decibels. We had a joke among ourselves, based on the fact, we could hear the chap talking through the breakfast proceedure - so we knew when some more guests had appeared into breakfast room.

Would use again, no prob.

We stayed overnight enroute for Cornwall, and were glad we did. The hotel is very convenient for train users, and drivers will have parking across in the station car park for £9 for 24 hours.

We had a 2nd floor room, and the access card operates the hall door as well as the room. This worked well, and perhaps limits the noise in corridors as only people capable of managing the hall door will get to the corridor! There was some noise late at night but it vanished as soon as they got to their room. Noise insulation - extremely good.

The bathroom of Room 233 had a bath and overhead shower; the water pressure is very good. Facilities are basic but very clean and fresh.

The bed is high, and comfortable. The pillows were scant and we could have done with a few more.

The hotel is clean and looks very good. We had a good deal when I booked in advance. £39 in October.

I second the breakfasts - the buffet is good quality - dont expect service though.

Room Tip: Room 233 is quiet and has a bath
